Growing Up

Yikes! I am really behind on updating the blog. We've had a busy last three months. Sydney turned one, we took a family vacation to Bethany Beach, we sold our house, bought a new one, moved and Sydney has quickly moved from crawling to cruising to full-on walking. We're looking forward to embracing Fall - cooler temperatures, the leaves changing and hopefully some much needed rest and relaxation.



We had a great time celebrating Sydney's birthday. A small family celebration on her actual day and a party with family, local friends and their kids the following weekend. Sydney loved her cakes. So much we had to take them away for fear of sugar overload. Click on the picture above to see photos from the big celebration.



Our vacation to Bethany Beach with Jeff's family was a much needed break. The four of us (Vandy included) made the drive again this year. Sydney loved the waves. The sand....not so much. We brought a small pool down to the beach so she spent a good bit of time in there. Sydney loved playing with her two cousins and all their toys and books. It was cute to see the three of them together now that they are all old enough to really interact. Vandy enjoyed himself as well and did lots of running on the beach each morning. After four months on the market, we finally sold our old house and moved into our new one. We felt very lucky to sell in this market. We've been moved in for about four weeks now and, for the most part, feel settled. We love it here. Great neighborhood, great neighbors and we're loving the house and all the extra space.



Sydney just had her 15-month checkup. She weighed in at 18 lbs (less than 3%) and is 30 inches long (25-50%). She eats a ton, so not sure where all that food is going. Click on the photo above to see more pictures from her 14 and 15 month albums.
