Halloween

Sydney had so much fun this Halloween. We started with a neighborhood party down the street. The weather was perfect so all the kids played outside and it was nice to finally meet a lot of our new neighborhoods. I had no ideas how many kids live on our street. There are over 50 under the age of 15, and most are elementary and below. Sydney loved following the big kids around and spent a good bit of time playing with the sidewalk chalk.

Sydney dressed up as a watermelon, but we didn't take her trick-or-treating. She was much more interesting in seeing all the kids come by in costume and handing out candy. What she didn't understand is that it isn't a constant flow so she would have a meltdown between groups. She was so hysterical a couple times that I took her outside and she walked halfway down the street after the masses. Next year should be really fun. We had lots of kids, many more than I expected, and we had to start rationing the candy towards the end so we didn't run out. Will definitely plan better next year!
