Four Months

I know I say it every month, but I can't believe that Sydney is four months. We just looked through the Watch Sydney Grow album and it's amazing how much she has changed. Going back to work has definitely made the time fly by, but we're trying to enjoy every minute of it best we can!

Sydney had her four-month check-up last week and she weighed in at a whopping 12 lbs 1 ounce (25th percentile) and was 25 inches long (75th percentile). So far, she's long and lean, but we're not sure there's much hope for that height continuing. But we're keeping our fingers crossed it does and she keeps those blue eyes that we just assume will eventually turn some shade of brown.

Developmentally, Sydney seems to be right on track. She starting rolling a month ago, but has quickly lost interest. She's not a big fan of tummy time and will often screech and holler until you turn her over. She loves sitting in her bumbo or lounging in her swing as long as she is part of the action and has your full attention. She's starting to reach for everything, including my hair, usually right at the scalp and it's amazing how strong those fists are. She loves her weekend trips to Caribou and just hanging out and watching the world go by. People continue to mistake her for a boy, but we don't mind. As you can see in her earlier pictures, her hair is slowly falling out except for the Donald Trump comb-over she has going on in the front. She's still the happiest baby (at least on this block) and is just enjoying taking everything in.
