Winter Storm Southern Style

Charlotte got its first (and probably last) snow of the year on Tuesday. While it only amounted to an inch at best, it was nice waking up to a mini winter wonderland. All the kids were off from school and already outside playing by 7:30am. There were even a few anxious ones trying to sled down the street, which only had a dusting at best. Jeff felt very sad that this is what kids in the south think snow is supposed to look like.

Jennifer had a routine doctor's appt on Tuesday as well and everything looked good. No ultrasound, but they did check the baby's heartbeat with the doppler, which was good and strong at 142 beats per minute. We scheduled the next ultrasound, which is the big one when we'll find out gender and check all the anatomy, for Thursday, February 12th. So keep a lookout for a posting that evening with the gender revealed and some updated photos. We also started taking baby bump pictures this week, which we'll post every now and then. Not too much to show yet!

And to top off the week, we were lucky to have Debby back visiting for work for a few days. We love that her company is based in Charlotte and it's been nice to have the time to catch-up. We did some shopping and got a couple good meals in. I'm sure she is tired of all the traveling and leaving the girls behind, but hopefully she's catching up on some sleep!

Here are a few pictures the morning it snowed, one with Debby visiting this week and one of Jennifer at 16 weeks.

I just noticed the baby tracker at the top - thanks for adding that!
