Weekend in Knox-Vegas

We drove to Knoxville Friday evening to spend the weekend with Jennifer's mom, brother (Brian) and Megan (Brian's girlfriend). On Saturday, we had lunch with Jennifer's best friend from grade school, Marcia, her husband and two girls and then watched the second half of the Vols game at a local brewery where the Big Orange spirit wasn't as grand as it usually is (tough year for the Tennessee Vols....could be a short and final year for Coach Fulmer). Saturday evening was a competitive three games of bowling. Brian, who should take up bowling as a side job, won two out of three and Jennifer the third (can you tell this family is EXTREMELY competitive?!?). We posted some photos of the evening and a couple of the score just in case Jeff tries to challenge it!

Sunday was spent driving around looking at a few of the homes Brian has built and currently has for sale. Three of them made it into the parade of homes, one which is on the water and is really amazing (he originally built it to live in....but those that know Brian, know how that goes). We also toured the house we grew up in. It went back up for sale over the summer and Brian bought it and is in the process of renovating it for resale. We spent over 15 years there, so it brought back lots of memories. We've added a few pictures of his houses in the slideshow.

With Columbus Day today, it's a short week for Jennifer, and forecasted to be a near perfect week for weather (although a little on the warm side for this time of year). We are looking forward to more Fall-like temperatures, which don't appear to be too far off. We visit the breeder this weekend for their open house, so we should have some photos of the parents and the other dogs at the ranch when we return on Sunday.
